No, not better than my sound system with receiver/amplifier, but several times better than a standard TV that is not equipped with the techniques that this Bravia has.

It may be an investment this device but if you have the money for it. Do it. You are ready for the future in television. The picture is sublime, as is the sound. The design is sleek, the image has a tiny edge, very nice. The service is good. Many settings possible in terms of image and other antics.
