Pokémon Legends Arceus Nintendo Switch

I think Pokémon Legends Arceus is the best Pokémon game in years. They have finally dared to take the big step and take the games to a new level. The open world of the Hisui region has a lot of variety and freedom in areas and Pokémon. There is plenty to do in the world, but in terms of variety in missions and graphic beauty, the game leaves something to be desired. Lots of freedom and activities in the world Pokémon Legends Arceus is set in the Hisui region and you set out in the Hisui region to learn as much as possible about Pokémon. Catching Pokémon is central to this game. The world consists of five separate areas where you will encounter many different Pokémon. After the introduction of the game, your adventure in the world begins and you immediately experience a lot of freedom. You are free to follow the story but pretty soon I lost myself in the first area. Unfortunately, the other four areas are very similar to that first area, with the same activities. So you are completing the same missions in other areas that are not very different from each other. The world is also quite bare and the game is not beautiful at times. But I personally felt it didn't get in the way of the overall experience. I felt like a kid again with his Gameboy in the backseat on my way to vacation. Challenging changes Pokémon battles are still featured in Pokémon Legends Arceus and are more difficult than previous games. I really liked this because the previous games were sometimes very simple. The combat system has changed in such a way that you have to think more about, for example, the speed of your Pokémon and the wild monsters facing you. What also brings an extra challenge are the Alpha Pokémon. These Pokémon are even bigger and stronger than the standard Snorlax or Rapidash. So there's plenty of challenge if you're looking for it. Gameplay is addictive I had a lot of fun exploring the different areas and caught every Pokémon I came across. The sounds of the wild Pokémon really bring the world to life and there is plenty going on in the areas such as extra dangerous areas called Space Time Disruptions. The various expeditions you undertake will take you through different Pokémon from older and newer games. Every time you catch a Pokémon, a new species is waiting around the next corner.

It's a new way to play Pokémon; very refreshing.
