Description

Note: this RAM module only fits in Windows laptops. This RAM isn't suitable for a Mac desktop or laptop. The computer needs to have a DDR4 connector. Check if this is the case in Windows Task Manager, 'More details", under the header 'Performance'. Under 'Memory', it says either DDR3 or DDR4. If it doesn't say anything about the connector, you need a DDR4.

With the Crucial 16GB 2666MHz DDR4 SODIMM (1x16GB), you expand the RAM of your Windows or Linux laptop with 16GB. This RAM is divided over 1 RAM module of 16GB and has clock speed of 2666MHz. Despite the fact that CoolBlue indicates that this dimm does not work in an Apple, I ordered it because the big bad internet indicates otherwise. Dim neatly received and installed the next day. Was neatly recognized in a 2018 Mac Mini (i7).

Easy installation

The business applications eat up memory capacity, so you mainly have to wait for the read/write of the swap files. That has been completely remedied with this extra memory. Installation is a piece of cake, just use a grounding strap to prevent ESD damage. 8GB was mss. also been sufficient, but the price difference with the 16 GB is not that big and I prefer not to be in a tight jacket.
