The controllers are now incorporated into the casing on both sides of the device, so you can't detach them anymore. You can play nearly all Nintendo Switch games on this Lite version.
Note: unlike the 'normal' Switch, you can't connect the Nintendo Switch Lite to a TV. You also can't detach the controllers, so yo need an extra set of wireless Joy-Cons for games like 1-2 Switch.
