Bose TV Speaker

First impression My first impression of the soundbar is that it is small and compact in size. When I take it out of the package, I notice that it is lightweight. It is packed securely in the box and comes with a quick start guide, optical cable, power cable and remote control. I am curious what this soundbar has to offer. Installation is fast The installation runs smoothly and is completed within 5 minutes. I follow the steps in the quick start guide and don't have to go through difficult steps or download an app. The television immediately recognizes the speaker and immediately sends all audio to the soundbar. Sound surprises me When I test the soundbar with a round of Netflix, I am pleasantly surprised. There's a lot of power and volume coming out of this little device. Even for a party at home, this speaker would produce sufficient volume. When I watch a series, the voices sound clear and the basses sound deep. Remote control with useful tools I can easily switch from TV to Bluetooth on the supplied remote control. Handy when I want to listen to music after the movie. The remote also has a bass adjuster for deep bass and a special dialogue function. Voices and details sound extra sharp. Handy when I'm setting up a sports game to hear the commentator's voice clearly. No hdmi cable and volume indicator There is little to criticize about this soundbar given the price-quality ratio. I only regret that no HDMI cable is included. This is the best way to connect the soundbar to the TV, because you can also use your own remote control. I also think it's a shame that you don't see a volume or bass indicator. Both on the bar and on the TV.

When unpacking, I was pleasantly surprised at how solid the speaker feels. It is a bit heavy, which I consider sturdy and solid. The supplied manual was simple, short but powerful. It is a pity that no HDMI cable is supplied here for the use of HDMI ARC connection, while this method is recommended by BOSE itself. The remote control is a nice size, clear buttons and fits well in the hand. Installing the speaker itself was very easy and completed within a good minute. Also, it connects with Bluetooth without any hassle. When I connected the speaker and turned on the TV, I immediately got a message that the battery of the remote control was completely empty and it had to be replaced. Not quite what you expect from an expensive speaker that comes brand new out of the box. This was only a minor inconvenience because every household has a CR2032 lying around. However, this could have been prevented by providing the remote control with a 'tab' so that the battery is not drained by default. But then the sound itself. At first I thought I didn't hear any sound yet and that I was listening to my TV. As it turns out, the sound quality is barely better than my budget flat screen with mediocre speakers. So this was quite a disappointment. There is little depth in the sound, which you see a lot with (also much cheaper) conventional speakers. This is definitely not what I'm used to from Bose. So they have released an excellent speaker in all areas, but the most important aspect of the product is also the weakest link in this product. So very sorry.

Significantly better sound than the TV (Philips) and pairing with Bluetooth also works fine.
