This is the Iron Man of vacuum cleaners. With a few clicks or turns I have the right attachment attached or extended in seconds to finish my dirt course. From sofa to tiled floor and from carpet to dog bed. So squeaked! Quite luxurious that there is a remote control in the handle to switch the vacuum cleaner on or off. Or adjust the suction power. It has happened to me a few times that I switched off the vacuum cleaner by accidentally tapping the on/off button. A spontaneous break that I then use to admire my cleaning skills.

We had a Philips Marathon Animal care HC9208. It is durable, great to vacuum with and still works fine, but the cord is broken, it became dangerous. We opted for a new vacuum cleaner instead of repairing it, because I always thought it was a big drawback that the filter was not washable. We were looking for a good vacuum cleaner that vacuums nicely, with a washable filter and that lasts a long time, actually a Philips vacuum cleaner, but I also looked at other brands and cheaper Philips vacuum cleaners. Parents-in-law always have Dyson, I don't like vacuuming and it is expensive, but it does have a good warranty. Miele, normally the best brand for home appliances, but no good reviews. Other brands have no experience with it and no specifics. Philips XB9185: Suction power/cleaning result: good, the carpet is almost sucked off the stairs on the highest setting! Smooth floor is cleaned with a little more effort by tube/turbo brush. Quality: materials used seem durable, filters are washable. The tube of this model snaps into place. We didn't want a vacuum cleaner tube that you have to clamp in, because in our experience it keeps falling out after a while while vacuuming. We almost chose another, cheaper Philips, luckily we saw in time that it had a clamping system. Turbo brush: - the vacuum cleaner itself drives very smoothly, the brush moves smoothly straight forward and back. - the brush is straight and cannot be moved sideways smoothly, probably because of the rubber. To get the bar flat under the bed or under a cupboard, the brush turns to the side and you can't go straight back and forth. With more space, the brush moves smoothly over the floor, and it also takes turns easily. - in small or narrow spaces, the Tri Active brush was much more convenient due to the triangular shape with narrow tips and the smooth bristles. Lighting: very handy, you can see the dirt well, even in the evening or in a poorly lit room, which makes vacuuming very satisfying. Buttons: very handy, also handy that the vacuum cleaner switches itself off when not in use and switches it on again, too bad they turn out to work on batteries. Vacuum cleaner is quite heavy, but we don't find this a problem. We are used to storing the vacuum cleaner vertically, a pity that this is not possible. Price: high for a regular vacuum cleaner, vacuuming is not a fun job, which you have to do quite often, we had the money to prevent minor annoyances and to make vacuuming a little more pleasant, but it remains just a vacuum cleaner and you have to still do the work yourself. It's not a robot vacuum.
