HP Pavilion 15-cs3965nd

I think the HP Pavilion 15-cs is a sturdy laptop with a sleek aluminum design. You work a whole day without the need for a charger. However, the maximum brightness of the HP is on the limited side. Sleek aluminum When I first took the HP out of the box, I was immediately a fan of the design. Everything except the underside is made of aluminum. This makes it feel very sturdy and solid. The futuristic speaker grill above the keyboard and the sharply cut bevels complete the design. Sometimes I have a bit of trouble plugging a USB cable straight into the connector. This is because the connections are straight in the housing, but because of the slanted edges I have the idea that I have to insert the cables at an angle. Long battery life I sometimes watch a movie in bed and then I don't feel like connecting the laptop to power. A power cable greatly restricts a laptop's freedom of movement and I sometimes change viewing position in bed. Fortunately, I can easily stream 2 movies on Netflix on this HP and still have about 20 percent battery left for some cat videos. For me, that's more than enough battery life to watch a relaxing movie in bed. Dull screen Less when watching a movie, I find the dull screen. The maximum brightness is not very high, as I am used to with other laptops. This is especially noticeable when the room is brightly lit. The screen looks better in a dark room. In addition, the viewing angles are not very good, so my girlfriend finds it disturbing to watch next to me. Powerful Bang & Olufsen speakers The speakers are very good. For the connoisseur: they are from the Danish hi-fi brand Bang & Olufsen. Voices and action sounds in series sound crisp and clear. I prefer to listen to music through headphones or through my external speakers, but that makes sense. After all, it remains a laptop and not a hi-fi set. Connections The HP laptop has an HDMI connection, Ethernet connection, USB-C connection and a port for your headphones. The right side has 2 'standard' USB connections and a memory card reader. 2 USB connections is a bit little. I would have liked an extra USB connection on the left, so that I can lay the cable behind my laptop for a tidy desk.

Beautiful laptop which meets my expectations: It is fast, has nice picture and sound and has no trouble editing photos (not professional). The design of the speakers is a nice detail. The microphone range is a little less good, given the current corona time, we use video calling with friends and family a lot. As soon as you are sitting right in front of the laptop there is no problem, if you are somewhat "next to" the laptop you will be harder to understand for the person you are calling. If you know this, you take it into account and there is nothing to worry about. The choice of materials, mainly aluminum, stands and feels solid and robust. All in all a very nice laptop with a good price/quality ratio. I especially like the amount of storage space on the laptop.
