Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR

Before that I always took the xf 18-55 f2.8-4 on family trips. I often fell a few mm short in both widescreen and telephoto. After borrowing the xf 16-80 for a week, I was immediately convinced. Although the xf 18-55 differs seriously in size and weight, the xf 16-80 f4 remains so much more versatile that it almost sticks to my xt3.

This lens was purchased and is now being used instead of the 18-55mm on an X-Pro2. The 18-55 mm did not have a weatherproof housing and this lens does. Incidentally, the 16-80 mm is slightly heavier, 100 grams, but you soon no longer notice that difference in use. The long range is hugely enjoyable, especially between 16 and 23mm. In addition, you can make good portraits with it. I have not yet encountered the fact that the largest aperture is only f4 as a drawback. Thanks to the built-in OIS (image stabilization), you can easily shoot handheld for up to 1/4 of a second (the subject must of course not move). The 18-55mm also had image stabilization, but I only managed to shoot hand-held up to 1/30 . In short, the Fujifilm 16-80 mm f4 OIS WR is a versatile all-rounder that I hope to enjoy for many years to come.

Top lens for the X-E4; for an afternoon out with the children or on leave so as not to have to carry a lot of contact lenses unnecessarily. For the evening / street moments I walk around with a 23mm f1.4
