According to our monitor expert
The LG 27UL650 is a 27-inch monitor with 4K resolution on which you can edit photos, watch movies, and play games. You experience colors very vividly and realistically thanks to the DisplayHDR 400 support and the 99% sRGB color range. This way, you get to enjoy the smallest details of your holiday snapshots and favorite movies. The 27UL650 allows you to adopt an ergonomic posture. Simply adjust its height and rotate or tilt the monitor to adjust it to your sitting height. This way, you're always comfortably in front of the monitor without straining your neck or shoulders. Note: as a result of 4K resolution, text and icons become smaller, which you can't always enlarge. For a 4K output, you need a modern laptop or PC with a fairly powerful video card. Make sure it has at least a DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, or Thunderbolt 2 connector.

After testing a number of monitors, this one came out as the best for me. I'm surprised that there aren't more reviews of this monitor because it really is a top device for the price. I myself was looking for a monitor that I want to use for my PS4, Switch and my Surface Laptop and I tried two 27" monitors and a 32" AOC gaming monitor. This LG monitor came out the best by far. The Philips 276E8VJSB was a close second that was mainly a lot cheaper but it had no HDR and no FreeSync which I would like to have now in case the PS5 comes out. In addition, with this LG monitor you can manually calibrate all colors to taste, which was not possible with the Philips. You can argue about taste, but the LG is in my opinion much nicer finished, adjustable in height and the cables can be properly concealed. The Philips lacked these features. I tested the monitor with an FPS shooter (Destiny 2) and I didn't notice any difference in response speed between the new LG and my old TN 1MS display.
The only drawback I have found is that the monitor does not recognize the input itself. The Philips did this and that was a lot easier. In addition, you could say that a USB-C connection would have been useful to both connect your laptop to your display and charge it at the same time. The LG 27UL850 seems to have this, but that is as good as the only improvement compared to this 27UL650 for an extra cost of 100 euros. That was too much for me.
For those who had the same doubts as me (good monitor for a good price), this is an absolute must.

In terms of image quality and design, this display is everything you can expect. Very thin vessels are a plus

I had to search for quite some time, but I finally came up with the LG27UL650 because of my personal preferences.
What do I use it for? Gaming/Movies/Videos/Streaming. I only play "Solo Games" so an extremely high Refresh rate (aka: Hz) is of no use to me at all. So that's why the 60hz with 5MS is fine for me to use. Think of games like Tomb Raider, Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed. Also RTS like the Total War Series and Company of Heroes. All games where an extremely high reaction speed is NOT necessary.
For those who want to know the difference: For example, do you play a lot of fast online games. Mainly Shooters, Race games and mobas like League of Legends and DOTA 2 then it might be smarter to look at a monitor with a lower MS and higher Refresh Rate (Hz) For example 1440p with 144Hz.
I immediately switch from an old 1080p Iiyama 60hz to 4K and therefore skip the step of 1440. And Wow...the difference is clearly noticeable. What struck me the most, however, were the COLORS. Many people look at the sharpness of the image because of course the resolution of 4k is literally 4x sharper than 1080p. But I especially saw a big difference in COLOR. Like the colors on the ground, trees, on metals and reflections.
Now the LG27UL650 did not come out as the best in the test by most "online reviewers", but what you GET... for what you PAY it is certainly a very good 4K monitor. There is "always" something better to be found, but ... often the price goes up.
For 4K resolution, with 10BIT colors and 60hz on a 5Ms, this monitor is really a very good price/quality ratio.
Mainly because it comes with Freesync technology, which is handy if you have an AMD video card, because it prevents lag and tears in the screen when you play games.
