The Rollei C5i Carbon is suitable for photographers that regularly photograph in mountainous areas. Thanks to the integrated spikes on the legs, the tripod is stable on its feet. The tripod is sand and salt water resistant. You can easily take the tripod with you, thanks to its light carbon design. The middle column is rotatable up to 180 degrees, which means yor camera can be upside down near the ground. This makes the tripod suitable for macro photography. You can, for instance, clearly capture tiny insects. You can turn the tripod into a monopod by means of a simple system. To do this, remove 2 legs from the tripod. The maximum camera weight capacity of the tripod is 8 kilograms, which means it can also handle heavier SLR cameras with their lenses. The working height is 2.5 to 157.5 centimeters.

Top product for a relatively affordable price.

For those who are hesitating between this and the smaller Rollei Traveler Carbon, go for the C5i. Weighs only slightly more but is much more stable/sturdy. Especially the center column and the attachment of the headset.

Shaky photos at longer closing times are definitely a thing of the past. If the tripod is fully extended in a lot of wind, it is necessary to hang a weight (eg backpack, bag) on the (supplied) hook at the bottom to guarantee stability and unmoved photos.

Nice product, especially for this money. Only 2 serious downsides, 1. I wonder if the max weight is realistic, I have more than half hanging on it, but I feel that is the max. The quick coupling from plate to tripod could have been a bit simpler, now it is a challenge to connect quickly, especially in the dark.
