According to our vacuum expert
With a full battery, the Philips SpeedPro Max FC6823/01 lets you vacuum for up to 65 minutes in the regular setting, so once you're done with the living room, you can clear the hallway and stairs of any dust as well. The stick vacuum's suction brush has 2 unique properties: LED lighting and the 360-degree suction capability. The LED lighting is especially useful in dark areas, like underneath the couch. The 360-degree suction capability means that the suction brush is open on all sides. As a result, you can effortlessly suck up dust and dirt from the front, back, and sides. If you encounter a rug, switch on the turbo setting to also remove deeper dirt from the fibers. You can also use the mini turbo brush to remove stubborn dirt, like pet hairs.
Quality
We distinguish between 2 specifications to assess quality: build quality and suction quality. The build quality greatly influences the vacuum's lifespan, while good suction quality ensures that you don't need to vacuum the same part of the floor as often before it's clean. This vacuum scores top grades on all quality specifications, so it's a vacuum with a long lifespan and high suction quality on hard flooring and carpet. That means you can be sure that you've made the right choice.

If you compare it with other stick vacuums, it's a pretty powerful device, it sucks well. Also good that it has 3 speeds, including turbo. Many have only 2: too weak or empty too quickly. So you have a choice between these. Slightly in front also handy / "nice", you see the fabric disappear. The whole device looks good. The sound is also more tolerable than a Dyson v8/10. Now the disappointing thing: There are a number of reviews at Philips stating that the vacuum cleaner broke quickly. So with me too. Owned for 8 days and then it was ready, code SE, which means: broken. If it were an exception, okay, but apparently not. Another disappointment is the amount of accessories. Almost every vacuum cleaner is supplied with a crevice tool (long, small) and often also with a piece of furniture (soft, for cabinets, for example). Not this one. In short, vacuuming between the cushions of the sofa or over your cupboard without making scratches is no longer possible with this vacuum cleaner. Final conclusion: Potentially really a replacement for the wired vacuum cleaner, which is what I had it for. But he disappoints very much for the reasons mentioned above. He sent it back and I'm looking for an alternative.

This is my first cordless vacuum cleaner and highly recommended. I hesitated for a long time between different manufacturers. I haven't tested the Dyson and can't say much about it, but here are the reasons why I went for the Philips: * Remarkably cheaper * Fewer attachments, in fact, except for 1 brush, the Speedpro is an All-in-one system. Everything hangs or is on the stem. You can also do any surface with the pedestal. Both carpet, laminate and stone. You don't have to switch all the time. And it delivers excellent results everywhere. * The 360 degree system. Really works. Although of course he doesn't suck very hard along the sides. But a piece of dust, a piece of plush or even a grain from the cat couch is sucked along. * Excellent battery life. Easy to use for an hour in position 1. * You can really easily hide under low cabinets, beds,... For these reasons I did not specifically choose the Philips, but turn out to be serious assets during use: * The lights on the pedestal. Why doesn't every vacuum cleaner have that? Seems like a gimmick until you vacuum it for the first time and find that there's a lot more dust under that cupboard or even just on the floor than you ever thought. * The system to throw the dust in the trash. Very simple. A container that you simply open, but for some reason they have succeeded in designing it in such a way that no dust cloud is created. * Even more than with other manufacturers, the Speedpro Max is actually a handheld vacuum that you 'bigger' so that it is a real stick vacuum. That may sound strange, but it's just useful. The basic device is really excellent to use as a handheld vacuum. * Device does not weigh much, very convenient to use. * I usually vacuum on setting 1 (the lightest setting) and I have excellent results with that. There is a cat walking around here and the hair or cat litter is sucked up without any problems. I haven't needed the Turbo mode yet. * It's much more fun to vacuum. I also use it much more than my previous classic vacuum cleaner. He is always there. And you can use it right away. And this could be even better: * The handle could be just a little longer. Now it is often just too short to vacuum behind a cupboard, for example, or just too short to do the entire surface under a bed or sofa. Especially compared to a classic vacuum cleaner. * The handle is actually a crevice tool (with possibly a brush on it). That is usually very useful. You don't have to switch setup pieces. But the handle is thicker than a classic crevice tool. That makes it impossible to get into really narrow spaces. That worked with my previous vacuum cleaner. Would I recommend the Philips Speedpro? Absolute. Although my flaws do bother me from time to time. It's small tweaks that Philips could make to their design to make it perfect. Of course, it remains to be seen how well the battery will still perform in 2 or 3 years. But overall very satisfied with the purchase. Does what it should do.

Delicious, no more hassle with the cord that is stuck under table legs or under the kitchen unit. The vacuum cleaner is super manoeuvrable and the suction power is surprisingly good. We keep the 'regular' vacuum cleaner next to it for a major cleaning, but the stick vacuum cleaner is used daily! I was a little worried about the noise level, but it's not too bad. The vacuum cleaner foot has LED lighting, which is almost scary because you see everything :) Never thought it would be so handy. But what I'm most excited about are the removable brushes! No more plucking cat hair stuck in your vacuum cleaner foot, because you have the brush so clean! Only downside I can think of: the drip tray is a bit on the small side. But it is - with our 2 shedding ragdolls - emptied every time. So no problem.
