Multifunctional water flosser for the whole family

  • Setting options
  • Fairly large water reservoir
  • Quite compact
  • Not wireless

After using this device for a week, I can say that I would definitely recommend it. The device is not wireless like other models, but it does offer a number of advantages. Thanks to the wide range of mouthpieces and adjustment options, you can adjust the device as desired so that it works optimally for your teeth (braces, bridge, normal,...). The water reservoir is certainly sufficient for a good cleaning. The device makes a pulsating sound during use, but that is not too bad and is not disturbing, certainly not to the extent that it will wake someone up in a nearby room.

Keep in mind that the tips only last 3-6 months according to the manufacturer and that you will have to buy them afterwards. Since I only have a week of experience, I cannot yet judge whether this term is actually correct.

All in all, definitely recommended for someone who wants to be able to adjust their water flosser to their liking, or when different family members (with different needs) will use the same device.

Does exactly what it promises.

  • Easy to refill
  • power adjustable
  • extra attachments
  • no place for tools

The oral irrigator gets where you can't with a toothbrush, it sprays with adjustable targeted force between your teeth, and massages your gums. You can also use mouthwash, extra tasty.

Recommended for bridges and implants

Rating Waterpik WP-660

First of all, a compliment to the Coolblue info desk, who tirelessly and cheerfully answered my questions about a number of models. The device will mainly be used in an environment with a different mains voltage and luckily, no problem.
I thought this model was a nice compromise between the overly luxurious models and the simplest with limited options.

The first impression straight out of the box (strangely enough, I can't find the model number WP-660 anywhere on the box) is that it is much smaller than expected. Also seems a bit fragile, but that has not been confirmed in practice so far. Operation is fairly simple. There is no pouch for storing the extra tips, but others before me had noticed that and I knew it.
There is a storage compartment for 2 tips behind the reservoir, very neat and hygienic, but that makes it a bit inconvenient. Personally, I would have preferred a holder on the outside of the device, but that is less attractive and hygienic. So it's the right compromise.

How the device works: I was recommended it by the dentist who placed my implants and I think rightly so. I'm amazed at how much food remains come out when, after thoroughly brushing my teeth with an electric toothbrush and rinsing thoroughly, I start flossing again. The story would be that it makes a mess and that you would spend an awful lot of time on it. None of that is true. Mechanical flossing takes longer and produces more mess.
To what extent it would be better or less good than dental floss or raggers I can't judge, but dental floss is not an option under the bridges or you have to pass, which I'm not crazy about and raggers are easily too big for me. So I am very happy with this system. The water tank is just big enough for flossing, which doesn't seem to be the case with models with a handle-mounted reservoir. However, I was surprised that the tips have to be replaced so often and that other parts are also subject to wear. That is another setback. All in all it works nice and easy. Whether it means in practice that I can keep my implants indefinitely remains to be proven.

Plus:
small, beautiful
Proper functioning
Comfortable
Great variety of tips
Enough water for flossing
Can be used on 100-240 V supply voltage

Min:
Apparently a lot of wear to be expected (lifespan???)
No pouch for tips
Storage compartment tips could be better

Recommended: Yes, but take maintenance and replacement costs into account
