Beautiful headset in sound, design and materials used
Sound quality

Battery not interchangeable
Tested several headphones from the Sennheiser PXC 550, Sony MH1000 XM3, Bang & Olufsen H9i. The Sennheiser comes closest to the B&W in terms of sound, only the build quality of the Sennheiser cannot be compared; lots of plastic and the on/off switch of the headphones is in the turning of the ear cups, this feels very fragile every time. The Sony is a drama in terms of build quality, the headphones consist almost entirely of cheap plastic and that for such an expensive headset. The sound quality is a drama, if you like a lot of bass and a lot more bass that cuts half of your mid range, then you should definitely buy this headset. the noise canceling was very good, the downloadable app is a bit too much, a lot of things are more fun than useful. The B&O headset has a nice sound, just on the too shrill side in my experience. The cups are not over ear but fall on ear for a small part, this does not benefit the noise cancelling. The canvas used in the headband has a great attraction to dirt and hair. The leather on the top feels cheap. The battery is interchangeable, which is of course a big plus in the long run. The Bowers and Wilkinsen PX is the absolute winner, in terms of sound the rest of the headsets don't come close. The basses are reproduced beautifully, the mid range is perfect, everything can be clearly seen down to the smallest detail. the high tones remain neat, even when the volume is increased, everything does not become too shrill. Beautiful build quality, beautiful materials such as ballistic nylon and beautiful soft leather and aluminum. The app is nice and sleek and clearly displayed. After many hours of testing, this is the absolute winner, if you are looking for a beautiful solid headset, with an incredibly good sound, then the Bouwers and Wilkins PX is for you.

After having owned the Bose QC35II and Sony WH-1000XM3 for a while, I was looking for something different. Mainly I was looking for better sound. I hear you thinking, better sound than in the headphones you have? Yes, and I will explain to you what I mean in a moment.
However, the search started with some other models that have all been returned, namely the Sennheiser PXC550, Sennheiser momentum 2.0 and the Denon AH-CG30. They all had something that irritated me in both ease of use (touch, and a weird guy rubbing your headphones a bit) or sound quality. The Momentum 2.0 surprised me somewhat, but was also too present in the low tones.
Then opted for this B&W PX and people what a sound. The headphones can be very loud, which is really not necessary. The sounds are nicely constructed so that the music you think you know can surprise you because you suddenly hear sounds and even full vocals. Don't get me wrong, I'm far from an audiophile and the sound can certainly have some umpf. The B&W does not disappoint in this either, especially since the bass is built up a bit better and never dominates.
The noise canceling of this PX is less than the competition, but I personally don't mind this as I never fly and hardly ever sit on the train. Noice canceling has a nasty habit of adjusting the sound by tinkering with the frequencies. In short, you sacrifice sound quality for better noise reduction. So if you don't need the noise suppression, then this PX is highly recommended because the music the device produces is better.
Then we have the build quality, this is where the Denon fell off for me. The B&W is made of very nice materials and therefore feels very solid. The disadvantage is that the headphones are a bit heavier as a result, but even after hours of continuous listening, I had no problems. There is no hard case, but a nice storage bag that feels very luxurious.
Like the PXC550, and in a sense the Sony, the PX has some useful options. Lift one of the ear cushions and your music or film will be paused and resume playing on its own the moment you place them back on your ears. It is extra nice that, if you put it aside, the headphones go into a sleep mode, from which they immediately wake up when you put them on. As mentioned, the headphones don't have touch controls but just old-fashioned buttons which, in my opinion, are a much better choice. These are all on the right shell and feel solid. With a view to the future, it is also nice that the ear cushions are easy to replace, because they are held in place by 2 strong magnets. So if they wear out, you don't need to buy new headphones right away.
Is there nothing to complain about then? Oh yes. The app offers few options for customizing your experience with the headphones. Bad recordings actually sound a lot less, due to the sincere sound of the PX. Live recordings in particular. Warnings and other sounds cannot be performed with a voice, so you better know what the headphones actually want to report. Furthermore, especially for the current offer price of 300 euros, I think these are the best headphones to choose if you want good sound and the NC is not the most important. And say yourself, with such a design you certainly dare to go out on the street, don't you?

Headphones with beautiful sound and high wearing comfort

Pairing with multiple devices
Sound quality
No hard case included
I bought these Bowers and Wilkins PX because other over-ear headphones are often too small for me (including Parrot Zik3). This one fits perfectly. It is also useful that you can connect the headphones to multiple Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
With the app you can set the different noise cancellation modes. The app is not necessarily necessary. This can also be done with a button on the right earcup (on/off only).
The only downside is the included cover. BW promotes these headphones as useful for travel, then I think they could also have included a travel-resistant case/box.
