According to our laptop expert
Use the Asus ZenBook Pro UX550VD-BN005T to get started with CAD applications and render 3D models at work. Thanks to the power of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and the i7 processor, this laptop has no problem with intensive graphic programs. For more screen space, connect up to 2 4K screens in the office via the Thunderbolt 3 ports. Visiting a customer? Easily take the ZenBook Pro with you, thanks to its weight of 1.8kg and thickness of 1.89cm. Open your laptop and magically start up your graphical projects within a few seconds. The NVMe SSD boots the laptop faster than a 'normal' SSD.
Note: a laptop with an i5 or i7 processor and a thin casing may produce more noise than comparable laptops with a less powerful processor.

Hello interested, First of all, I would recommend this product to anyone who needs speed and graphics power in combination with a lot of RAM. I bought this laptop for my Automotive study. I was looking for a fast laptop with a lot of graphics power and enough RAM. Because I'm going to take the laptop with me every day, it didn't have to be too heavy and have an acceptable battery life. Now that's the mess. Didn't expect such hardware to fit in such a package without overheating. In addition, the cooling is present but certainly not overpowering and annoying has a low buzz which is more pleasant to the ears than the screams of my father's Lenovo. The battery life is simply superb. Especially for everyday tasks like typing this review. Right now I have 37% and can still work for 5 hours and 16 minutes. Various external reviews prove this. In addition, charging is very fast for the capacity of the battery. It has a nice keyboard on which you can type nice and fast without your fingers being slowly crushed. The keyboard has 3 different strengths of backlighting, and of course it can also be turned off. There is of course a touchpad under the keyboard. It simply works wonderfully. As many different gestures as possible so that your productivity can increase nicely. To adjust the volume, move up or down with 4 fingers. Unfortunately, the fingerprint scanner is integrated in the touchpad. I personally haven't had any trouble with it yet. Performance is insane, especially starting from scratch. Up to 5 seconds and you're good to go, especially with the addition of the fingerprint scanner, I never missed it but now I don't want anything else. The laptop has a matte screen, so you will not be bothered by glare and the screen brightness does not have to be so high for a still readable screen. The screen is not made for precise color reproduction, but it can be configured in such a way that it comes close. The housing is nice and sturdy, soft to the touch and the twist on the lid is a subtle accent. The Asus logo lights up when using the screen, it's a nice gimmick but for me it's not necessary. The lid is not the strongest but sturdy enough not to worry. The number of connections is not limited, but certainly not extensive. There is no fixed Ethernet connection, but the WiFi is strong enough to move around the house without missing out on speed. Of course, this also partly depends on your own setting. With the two Thunderbolt 3 ports you are prepared for the future and you have a port "That rules them all". Not to be confused with regular USB Type C. My conclusion: Very nice laptop to use. A worthy Windows alternative to the Macbook Pro 15, this one is much cheaper. For video and photo editing, and as I work CAD it is a very good laptop. It's a nice, light laptop that you can take with you all day thanks to the long battery life. Plug it in anywhere with the Thunderbolt 3 ports, Full HDMI port or one of the 2 USB 3.1 ports. I hope to have informed you enough to decide for you or to look further. Greetings Jelle

A worthy Windows alternative to the Macbook Pro 15, this one is much cheaper. I personally chose this laptop over the HP Specter x360 because of the graphics power of this laptop for the price you have to pay. I am very happy with this laptop, I can definitely recommend this laptop to people who need graphics power, I wouldn't recommend it for gaming. There is not much room for heat production for this and the laptop is certainly not made for it. Nice "high end" laptop for the price. Performance is very good, as expected. Looks nice on top, although I'm not a big fan of the metal look, because you can see all the fingerprints and such on it (but that's actually a side issue).
