Sirui A-1005 + Y10

This is a very nice tripod to work with. It is a compact and lightweight tripod that can bear quite a bit of weight (tripod with telephoto lens). You can quickly convert this tripod from tripod to monopod and the option to turn the tripod head is a very nice extra for macro photography. In short: A must for a reasonable price.

What is immediately noticeable is the solidity of the product. The tripod feels very good, and exudes quality. The supplied tripod head (ball head) is also recommended. This one is easy to use. This tripod is perfect for photography. Especially if you often travel on the road. The tripod is less suitable for video, but with a different tripod head this problem is solved.

The more than decent stiffness of this tripod considerably limits the chance of motion blur. Of course you buy a tripod for that, but there is a clear difference between travel tripods in particular. I used to use a tripod that was slightly lighter in weight, but it also has thinner legs. Thinnest section 10 mm. average. That is a lot less sturdy than this Sirui tripod. The maximum carrying weight of this Sirui is also many times greater than that of my old tripod and that of most other travel tripods I've looked at. That is of course only pleasant. This Sirui tripod is very easy and quick to use. Fold the legs, with a short twisting movement you unscrew all sections of a leg at once (unless you have very small hands) after which they slide down on their own. Then you fix them one by one with another short turning movement at the correct length. This is going very smoothly. This tripod then stands like a house. You then quickly and easily slide the camera with quick-release plate underneath on the ball head, tighten it and you're ready for use. Also not unimportant, folding is just as easy and fast in reverse order. The possibility of turning this tripod into a monopod - a handy extra option of this tripod - I have not yet tried, but that will probably happen at some point. Also the option to invert the center column for macro photography close to the ground. Glad this is possible. The disadvantage of this is that you have to watch out for the shadow of the tripod legs on the object. Yet... Due to the compact size, the relatively low weight and the possibilities of this tripod in combination with an excellent price-quality ratio, I am very pleased with it.
