I was looking for an external microphone to connect to my SLR for not too much money. Because I mainly film people who have something to say, I chose a shotgun microphone. The wind filter does dampen all sounds, so if you use the filter it is useful to set the recording level a bit higher in the settings of your camera. Or, of course, speak a little louder. Good microphone for a reasonable price. The difference in sound quality is clearly audible. I use it on a Canon EOS 750D and compared to the built-in Mic this is highly recommended. With the supplied deadcat you can also record well outdoors. I can recommend the VideoMicro to anyone looking for a first external microphone for their GoPro or Camera (if hot shoe is available).

It is a very good microphone for the price. The microphone is pretty much ready for use out of the box and post-processing is not very necessary due to the decent quality and the windshield. It doesn't have the very best sound, but it definitely beats the sound quality of most DSLRs and system cameras. Overall a good product and definitely recommended for novice filmmakers who take their profession seriously.
