Princess 182020 Digital Aerofryer XL

I no longer go to the chip shop, but I make my own fries and (oven) snacks in the Princess Aerofryer. That saves time and also a lot of (frying) fat. In terms of snacks, I have the oven variants at home; oven frikadellen, oven croquettes, oven cheese souffles. It is useful that many packages indicate how long they should be in an Airfryer. If you are going to work with fries, it is a matter of trying out how long, also depends on the fries. For example: there is a difference in preparation if you opt for frozen fries or freshly cut fries. Frozen fries are the fastest to prepare. With self-peeled fries (so that takes longer ;)) it is better to leave them in the water for half an hour (longer is also allowed), than to pat dry and add 1 tablespoon of (sunflower) oil and toss through it. For fries, I shake the pan 2-3 times for best results. Preparing fresh fries takes longer than frozen fries, about half an hour (depending on the amount). With the Digital Aerofryer XL you can prepare more than just fries and snacks. On the Aerofryer you will find a suitable frying program per category, namely for fries, chicken, steak, meat, fish, shrimp and sweet (cakes, muffins, etc.). I have used all applications and it is quite easy. Such a program is an average preparation method, so for example if you have 1 portion (or few grams) I would shorten the time and check in between. This is in any case smart to do with fries and snacks so that you can shake the pan in between (or turn the snacks over) for an even browning. I also use the Aerofryer when I want to heat up small snacks, such as a sausage roll. Another advantage is that the Aerofryer is heated up earlier than my (convection) oven, but only 5 minutes. Saves time again. After use I let the pan cool down and afterwards you only have to wash the basket and pan (by hand). That's how you did it because it doesn't get very dirty. I think if you do that every time it stays clean (and it's easier than cleaning a large oven). The user manual is not a lengthy manual. They are simple instructions so that after you read 5 minutes you will know exactly how it works; so quite easy. It is indicated that the device is odorless in operation, and it is. I only smell the food when I remove the pan from the appliance or when I check in between. The only drawback I think is the beep; quite hard and shrill.

After my old Philips Airfryer got so dirty internally that it had to go and I refused to pay more than 200 euros for a new one, I decided to take another brand. I chose this Princess Aerofryer because the price is ok and it is generally very well received. After using it for a month, I can only say that this has been a very good decision. The Aerofryer does a fantastic job, is a lot quieter than the Philips and has a clear display. Baking result is fantastic and is certainly not inferior to the Philips. Cleaning such devices is a crime. The same applies, to a lesser extent because of more space, for this Princess. Top tip: Use a flame spreader of 3 euros from the blocker with sputtering goods. This fits perfectly on the basket and ensures that the sputters cannot reach the inside of the Airofryer. The flame distributor is made of metal mesh, so the airflow is not obstructed and can simply be washed in the dishwasher.

I am very satisfied with the Princess Aerofryer XL. Frying, baking and grilling in hot air is easy, fast, healthy and above all tasty. At first I was hesitant about frying without oil, because I wondered whether fries would be crispy enough. But at slightly longer baking times than a regular deep fryer, the Princess Aerofryer XL bakes delicious fries that are crispy on all sides. Even tastier than from the regular frying pan! The Princess Aerofryer XL is a very user-friendly, versatile and affordable airfryer. The price difference with the digital airfryer from Philips is significant, but the Princess Aerofryer XL is certainly not inferior to its competitors. With an extra large capacity deep fryer, a portion of fries for the whole family is prepared in one go. The operation of the Princess Aerofryer XL is very user-friendly. With handy preset buttons for fries, meat, fish and other food to be prepared, the Aerofryer does its job right away. A side note here is that I have noticed that baking times are slightly longer than with regular fryers. For example, I made sweet potato fries and only after I extended the baking time by fifteen minutes, they were crispy. But afterwards the best sweet potato fries we ever ate! The fact that we are finally rid of the long-lasting frying smell in the kitchen is also a huge relief. And it is probably also more energy efficient than an oven or long cooking on gas With healthier frying in the Aerofryer XL, we dare to enjoy tasty snacks more often. The Aerofryer is extremely versatile and you can prepare many types of food in it. In addition to fries and snacks, meat and fish are also cooked quickly and sufficiently in the deep-fat fryer. Aside from the fact that food has to be turned halfway through to cook properly, you don't really have to worry about Â'cooking in the sauté panÂ'. Grilling meat and fish is fine and the taste is very good. Sweet baked goods are also gradually well cooked, just like in the oven. The handy grill rack ensures that twice as much meat can be prepared in the pan. Despite its extra large deep-fat fryer, the Princess Aerofryer XL is still fairly compact. The clear display is easy to read and provides sufficient information. Not everyone will like the blue LED color and plastic push buttons, but personally I don't find this disturbing. Partly due to the fact that the Aerofryer looks robust and the parts can go in the dishwasher, I expect to be able to enjoy this innovative deep fryer for years to come. In my opinion a must!
