Fjällräven Kånken Graphite 16L

After purchase I immediately used the bag on a daily basis for three weeks. The Fjallraven Kanken is a sturdy bag that is more spacious than it looks. On the inside there is a handy compartment for papers etc. and on the outside there is room for two bottles of water. The only downside is that, when packed heavily, the thin shoulder straps can sometimes pinch.

Received as a gift 29 years ago, from Scandinavia, sand color (putty), light and very elegant, never seen here before. I had just started studying again, away from home for a whole day every week by bus and train. Portable PCs were still much too heavy to go out with - but everything else could be carried along: thick file, writing materials, book(s) & magazine(s), sandwiches, glasses case, makeup bag, rain jacket. In the side pockets piece of fruit, drink, a folding bag for groceries at the end of the day, etc. ... For decades the bag went everywhere with me, concert, zoo, hiking day, even once gone four weeks without any other luggage. The back pocket allows you to keep some things separate, but is not stiff (which has its own advantages) so it is better to put a paper document in a hard cover first, but other school bags have that too. A few downsides, which do apply to the model and textiles of the time: not completely waterproof because of the zippers, stains are difficult to remove, the buckles do not always hold the shoulder straps well and for an unclear reason sometimes a strap slips off my - by the way narrow - shoulders. Be careful when washing, in my opinion it is best by hand and a soft brush. After almost 30 years, after machine washing, the zippers finally broke and I am now looking for a new color for its replacement ...

I really like my Fjällräven Kånken bag. I expected it to be a little small, but it's not that bad. My MacBook even fits in it. It even has a special laptop compartment! The quality of FRK is very good, it is made of a strong type of canvas. The delivery of Cool Blue was very fast, I ordered it on Monday evening and received it the next day! In short, recommended!
