Nice camera but be careful with SD card

  • Good low noise photos
  • Device is really small.
  • Robust
  • No 60 FPS with SDHC only with SDXC

Nice camera and nice and small. Very low noise photos It's a shame that Coolblue recommends the wrong SD cards with this camera. Coolblue says you can use SDHC cards. However, beware: If you want to make full use of the video recording functionality, you must have an SDXC card with at least 64 gig. Only then can you record at 60 frames per second. If you put an SDHC card in the camera, everything works, but you cannot select the best video mode in the camera. The camera will not allow this. Unfortunate. Coollbue just adjust content and put SDXC cards in the bundle offers.

Almost DSLR quality

  • Lens 24mm-70mm 1.8f-2.8f
  • Beautifully sharp photos in all lighting conditions
  • Evf built-in viewfinder works great
  • Cost is expensive!! But worth every penny

Hi, Have had the Sony RX100MIII for a week now and have already been able to experiment with it ... I must say what a beautiful device it is to me. I already owned the first RX100 but have now switched to the MIII due to its multiple upgrades. The RX100MIII now has a different lens that is brighter than its predecessor, the only thing that is less, you have to lose the zoom range, but you now get a nice 24mm wide angle! I can be brief about the image quality, it takes incredibly beautiful sharp photos, plus the large sensor in combination with the bright lens creates a beautiful bokeh. He also takes stunningly beautiful photos in low-light situations... up to ISO 1600 the photo is as good as noise-free!! The new RX100MIII now also has a built-in evf and I must say this works perfectly and is very clear in use with all data processed, a real plus for determining your composition in very sunny situations. The LCD screen is also a very good screen that can now be tilted 180° for selfies etc... The only thing I do find, it is very sensitive to scratches. So best to stick an LCD protection on it. The lens itself is really the max...1.8f-2.8f 24mm-70mm zeiss really gives very nice pictures...okay the zoom range is not that far but you have to decide that for yourself and if I catch it I'll take it most photos on vacation are between that focal length... There is also a bright zoom on so you can zoom in a little further with very little loss of image quality. What the controls and possibilities are...is huge you can set everything yourself and there are 1001 suggested programs that work really well. The RX100MIII also takes nice Jpegs in Auto mode but in RAW it is unbeatable. You also have WiFi on board and an internal flash that you can aim at the ceiling to bounce, which is a real plus! As lesser features I would say the cost, although it is worth every penny, the grip is also not that good so you better order an AGR2 grip so that problem is solved. Make sure you take the AGR2 grip and not the AGR1 grip. I also find a small disadvantage if you use the evf and you want to switch it off again, then the whole device switches itself off and I think that should not be allowed. Also the LCD screen is beautiful but as said very fragile for scratches!!! In short, I can definitely recommend this RX100MIII to everyone, it really is one of the best compacts in its series at the moment!

Awesome, I've been waiting for this

  • Super sharp image
  • Beautiful colours
  • Nice picture even in the dark

I had an EOS 400 first, then the EOS 700, didn't always get the photos I needed. I just need to be able to take a good, beautiful photo in 1x, which is sharp and colorful. I have just returned from Northern Norway Lofoten and have taken beautiful pictures (without setting anything) and even photographed the Northern Lights from the loose wrist. I am very happy with it and give this Sony RX 100 III a big 10!
