I have had Sennheiser, Philips, Sony and Beyerdynamic headphones before, but these did not meet my expectations. The Beyerdynamic was almost as good as this AKG but started to vibrate annoyingly with the bass.

It must be said that this AKG needs about 40 hours of play-in time before it starts to sound fantastic, but I knew that beforehand by reading several reviews about these headphones. So I let it play for 2 days in a row without interruption and now it does indeed sound much better than in the beginning, when there were hardly any basses to be heard! And with longer playing it would sound even better, that promises :-)

It actually sounds so good now that I feel like listening to my entire CD collection again, all songs get a new dimension, I now hear instruments that I had never noticed before!!
The basses go deep but never start to hum and do not dominate the other tones, everything sounds as it should.
I also put it on for gaming, my surround amplifier converts the signal to Dolby Headphone, now I have the impression that I am in the middle of the game and can point out where the sounds around me are coming from, great!!

Wearing comfort is also very good with soft ear pads and a self-tensioning headband.

Long story short, buy these headphones, you won't regret it!
And you won't find it cheaper than here!
