Description

The Nikon Monarch 5 8x42 is a pair of rock-solid roof binoculars that you can use to make razor-sharp nature observations. Thanks to the special ED coating on the lenses and the prisms, you get a clear and detailed image. The high exit pupil ensures a sharp visibility at dusk. Is that rare Madagascan pochard sitting nearby? No problem, thanks to the 2.5-meter close focus, you can still capture it sharply. You can take the Monarch 5 with you outside without a problem, because it's mist-resistant and water-resistant. The rubber finish provides you with a good grip and ensures that the binoculars can take a beating.

Excellent value for money

Price versus quality

Light output twilight

With binoculars I often have that a black part remains visible between the 2 eyes. Not with these binoculars and I think that is because the distance between the eye socket and the eyepiece part can be told in 4 steps. Even with sunglasses, the image is excellent by adjusting the distance between the glasses and the eyepiece. During twilight, the image through the binoculars is brighter than with normal vision. A big plus because these binoculars were mainly purchased for a planned safari later this year
