An extra battery is almost indispensable, especially if you like to work with Liveview. Then the camera drinks energy and the battery is empty in a few hours. It is a pity that extra batteries are so expensive and that there are no "white products" of this type.

I chose this battery because the battery is exactly the same as the one that came with my Nikkon D3200. It is also nice to have a second battery with you and that is also the reason that I ordered it. Coolblue is also a lot cheaper than Nikkon store while it is the same battery. You have to charge the battery a few times and use it empty before this battery can deliver full power.

A good purchase if you only have a battery with your camera. Without a spare battery you will always see that at some point you have to be careful that you are not empty. And on holiday, when it is not always possible to find a charging point and the battery runs out quickly, I find an extra battery (and SD card) indispensable. Used with the Nikon D5100. It is exactly the same as the battery that comes with it so you know what to expect from it. The only drawback is always the price of this type of product, even if in general it is only a fraction of the price given for the camera and other accessories. Comes with plastic protective cap for the contact points and manual.
