With a tamper, you can put ground coffee in a filter holder. The tamper ensures that the coffee is firmly and straight in the filter holder, so that the water flows well through the coffee and you can make a nice espresso. You have tampers with a wooden, stainless steel, or aluminum handle. The base is always made of wear-resistant stainless steel. This allows you to stamp the coffee straight and the tamper will last a long time. Make sure that the size of your tamper corresponds with the size of your filter holder to stamp the coffee properly.
