Do you have a 1 or 3-phase connector?

You often need a 3-phase connector in your fuse box for your charging station. Do you not know which connector you currently have? In this article, we'll explain how you recognize them.

1-phase connector

Examples 1-phase fuse box

You have a 1-phase connector if it says "220V" or "230V" on the box. With this connector, you have a maximum charging capacity of 5kW. Some hybrid cars charge 3.7kW at the most, which means a 1-phase connector is sufficient.

3-phase connector

Examples 3-phase fuse box

Many newer houses have a 3-phase connector. You can recognize this by the "3x230/400V" on the box. This connector offers a maximum charging capacity of 11kW. This means you can charge your car faster than with a 1-phase connector.
