Game of the Year: Baldur's Gate 3
At the beginning of the year, every gamer seemed to agree. The new Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was going to win the Game of the Year award. But all of a sudden, there was Baldur's Gate 3 from Larian Studios in September. This brand new RPG took inspiration from dice games like Dungeons And Dragons. And things suddenly became very exciting when Alan Wake II was released in October. In the end, Baldur's Gate III won Game of The Year 2023. This game has put these types of RPGs back on the map.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as a contender
In addition to Zelda, Baldur's Gate 3, and Alan Wake II, Marvel's Spider-man 2 was also nominated for 7 categories. Unfortunately, Insomniac Games didn't win any prizes. The Last of Us season 1 is a hit
In addition to the PlayStation games, movies and series were also nominated for the 'Best Adaptation' category. HBO's The Last of Us won this award and wins the prize for best movie or series.
