Energy-efficient washing machines
An energy-efficient washing machine has an A energy label or higher. The higher the energy label, the more money you save. With A-30%, you can save up to € 310 over its entire lifespan. Thanks to the low power consumption, a wash cycle costs much less with an energy-efficient energy label. You can find this on the energy label. Our calculation is based on an 8kg load capacity, a 40°C temperature, and a rate of € 0.30kWh.
Energy-efficient dryers
We consider dryers to be energy-efficient starting at an A+++ energy label. With the most energy-efficient dryer, you can save up to € 119 per year compared to a dryer with a B energy label that's nog energy-efficient. All of our energy-efficient dryers are heat pump dryers. That's because these dry at a lower temperature. This ensures you dry energy-efficiently, but keeps your clothes in good condition for longer as well. So your clothes last longer and you save on your energy bill.
Energy-efficient fridges
An energy-efficient fridge has an A, B, or C energy label. How much energy you save exactly differs per type of fridge. You save the most with a fridge freezer combination with an A energy label: € 670 over its lifespan compared to a fridge with an F energy label. With American fridges, you save up to € 815 with a C energy label model. Looking for an energy-efficient built-in fridge? Carefully check the niche dimensions in addition to the energy label. That way, you can be sure that it'll fit.
Energy-efficient dishwashers
A dishwasher is energy-efficient from a C energy label. With the most energy-efficient dishwasher, you can save up to € 545 over its lifespan compared to an F energy label. Want to save both energy and water? Check the water consumption. We also indicate whether each dishwasher it environmentally friendly. To establish this, we check the energy label, water consumption, and build quality.
Energy-efficient freezers
We consider a freezer with a D energy label or higher to be energy-efficient. Just like with fridges, how much energy you save depends per type of freezer. With an upright freezer with a C energy label, you can save up to € 500. You can save the most with chest freezers with a D energy label: € 495 over its entire lifespan. Choose an energy-efficient freezer with No Frost and a closed condenser to save even more energy. These models require little maintenance, so your freezer continues to freeze energy-efficiently.
Energy-efficient range hoods
Range hoods are energy-efficient from an A+ energy label. With an energy-efficient range hood, you can keep the range hood on to remove odors after cooking without it costing too much energy. Do you have an open kitchen? Keep the noise level in mind, so you won't be bothered by noise during and after dinner.
Why aren't the labels the same?
As you may have noticed, not every product with the same energy label is energy efficient. A fridge or dishwasher with a C energy label is energy efficient, while a washing machine is only energy efficient if it has an A energy label. This is because we look at the average consumption and label per product type. For example, the most energy-efficient washing machine has an A-30% energy label, while the most energy-efficient fridge only has an A energy label.
