What's a radiator fan and what can you use it for?
Start saving
With SpeedComfort and BlueBuilt radiator fans, you can save about 20% on the consumption of your heating. You can lower your thermostat with 1 to 2°C, but your room will heat up just as fast. Thanks to this, your boiler won't have to work as hard. Because the fans heat up your room more efficiently, you can also lower the temperature of your boiler to 60°C. Normally, it's set to 75 to 90°C. You can save up to hundreds of euros on your energy bill, depending on your house and gas prices.
How does a radiator fan work?
You can place radiator fans on top of or below your heater. The fan blows the heat faster into the room faster and more evenly. As a result, your living room reaches the right temperature twice as fast. The radiator fans turn on when the heating gets warm. You don't have to do anything for this. When your radiator cools down, the fans stop.
What do you need?
A radiator fan distributes 30m3 of air per hour. It's important that all the air in your room circulates at least once per hour. That's how you can benefit the most. Calculate the capacity of your room by multiplying the length, width, and height of the room. A living room of 5m long, 3m wide, and 2m high is 30m3. You just need 1 radiator fan for this room. With an expansion set, you can easily enlarge the range to up to 300m3. That's because you can connect up to 10 radiator fans to each other.
Is a radiator fan suitable for your heating?
A BlueBuilt radiator fan fits on almost every heater. The fan has slide-out magnet strips and includes matching feet. That way, you can adjust it to the radiator in your house. No further installation is required. You just plug the connector into the socket. Place the fans in rooms that you spend most of your time in. Think about your living room or study.
