What can you do with the Apple Watch?
Extension of your iPhone
Notifications and calls
You can connect your Apple Watch to your iPhone via the WatchApp. This allows you to view all your notifications on your Watch. You'll be able to see messages, push notifications of apps, calendar notifications, and emails. You can set the preferred notifications yourself. With the Apple Watch, you can also send messages or make calls via the iPhone. That way, you can leave your iPhone in your pocket.
Apps and payments
You won't just stay up to date with your Watch, but you can also use it during your daily tasks. You can listen to music and podcasts via your wrist, for example. You can do this via Apple Music, but also with Spotify. That's because you can download your favorite apps onto the watch via the App Store. With Apple Watch, you'll no longer have to get your bank card out of your wallet either. You can make contactless payments via your wrist. In 'Maps', you can plan your route to the office or back home.
Connected everywhere
You'll always be connected to the internet with an Apple Watch 4G, even when you don't have your phone on you. This means that you don't have to bring your iPhone during a walk or workout to listen to music or receive messages. You can insert a digital SIM card in the Apple Watch 4G. You'll need to connect a special eSIM phone plan for this. Regular Apple Watch models work via the internet of your iPhone.
Stay health
Sports
The Apple Watch motivates you to move. You can set an activity goal for every day. The activity rings indicate how many calories you've burned, how active you've been, and how many times per hour you've stood up. With the Apple Watch, you can also track your sports performance. You can do this via the workout types and apps. You can track your progress by starting a workout in the 'Workout app'. You can also track your route during your run. The Apple Watch measures your heart rate during your workout via your wrist. When you train by heart rate, you can improve your fitness.
Health
With the Apple Watch, you can track your health. The built-in heart rate monitor measures your heart rate throughout the day. The Apple Watch Series SE (2020/2022), 4, and older all have an optical heart rate reading. The Series 9 and 8 and the Ultra models have an optical heart rate sensor and an ECG function. This allows you to make cardiograms and get insight in your heart rate. You can also measure your oxygen saturation. This gives insight in your health overall. The Apple Watch 8 also measures your temperature.
Look stylish
Personalize your Apple Watch to your style. For example, choose your favorite image out of many watch faces. Make it even more personal with your own photos. With an extra watch strap, you can style your watch according to your outfit. For example, the Milanese watch strap provides a chique look. Do you often use your Watch during workouts? Choose a silicone strap or nylon strap. This ensures a lot of ventilation while working out. A leather strap fits with every outfit. As a result, your Apple Watch will match every occasion and mood.
