4 tips to use the NutriBullet blender
Get started with your Nutribullet
With these 4 tips, you can get the most out of your Nutribullet blender:
- Tip 1. Use the right ingredients
- Tip 2. Mix up to 1 minute
- Tip 3. Clean the blender the right way
- Tip 4. Replace the blade after 6 months
Tip 1: use the right ingredients
It's important that you always add a liquid to the ingredients, whether that's water, milk, or orange juice, for example. Make sure the liquid is truly thin. Yogurt is still too thick. Are you adding ice cubes? Make sure the ingredients don't take up more than a quarter of the pitcher. The motor isn't powerful enough for this. In addition, the blender cup isn't suitable for warm ingredients due to the plastic.
Tip 2: don't mix longer than 1 minute
Don't user the Nutribullet blender continuously for longer than 1 minute. That way, you prevent overheating. Do you want to prepare multiple things back to back? Wait a minute in between and don't mix more than 3 juices after each other.
Tip 3: clean the parts the correct way
The blade isn't dishwasher-safe, so you have to clean it manually. Ideally, you do this right after you're done mixing, so the residue doesn't have time to get stuck to the blade. If the interior of the motor unit is dirty, you can clean it with a moist cotton swab. Remove the smoothie residue from between the edges and grooves to make sure the blender will still screw on properly. Make sure all of the separate parts are completely dry before you use them again. The blender cups, rings, and lid can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Tip 4: replace the blade after 6 months
The blade and the rubber ring around the blade start to wear over time. Worn blades can't mix ingredients as well and the motor will become overheated. An overheated blender smells bad, gives off a burning scent, makes more noise, or even refuses to turn on. If the rubber ring is worn, the pitcher begins to leak. You can buy an extra blade via the Nutribullet website.
