How do you choose a blender for baby food?
Choosing a blender for baby food
You won't recognize a blender for baby food by the exterior. So ask yourself the following 3 questions before you choose a blender for baby food:
*Which ingredients do you want to mix?
- Do you want to make hot and cold food?
- What capacity does the blender need to have?
Which ingredients do you want to mix?
First, you have to determine which ingredients you want to mix. That's because the power of the blender determines the type of ingredients you can mix and the intensity. For example, a blender with a low power is only suitable for soft ingredients, while a powerful blender can also mix hard ingredients. You can use a powerful blender for a long time without the motor overheating. This is why a powerful blender is useful if you want to prepare several portions at the same time or if you mix other preparations with hard ingredients.
Do you want to make hot and cold food?
All blenders are suitable for preparing cold fruit snacks. Do you also want to make hot food? There are a couple of things to keep in mind. Choose a heat-resistant blender that's suitable for hot ingredients, for example. With this, you cook the vegetables first and then mix them into a vegetable snack. Or choose a blender with a heating function. This allows you to cook your ingredients in the blender and mix them into a hot snack right away.
Which capacity should the blender have?
Blenders come in many different sizes. There are blenders with a capacity lower than 1L, but there are also blenders with a 2L or higher capacity. So determine which capacity is most suitable for you beforehand. Choose a blender that's suitable for your household, for example. If you want to make a supply of baby food, we recommend at least a 1.5L capacity.
