Tip 2: install the dispenser properly
When your dispenser isn't installed properly, it can lead to problems. Check the manual to see you to properly install the dispenser. Check if the connectors and the water filter are in order. Is the water filter blocked? Replace it with a new one.
Tip 3: check the child safety lock
Does your model have a child safety lock? When the child safety lock is enabled, the fridge won't dispense water or ice cubes. Check the manual to see how to disable the lock.
Tip 4: check the water pipes
Check the water supply hose of fridge. Make sure it's not bent or squashed. If the hose is alright, make sure the water supply is open. Doesn't the supply work? Contact a plumber.
Tip 5: vent the water pipes
If you replace the water filter or connect the fridge for the first time, there might be some air in the pipes. Put a large bucket underneath the dispenser. Press the dispenser for 5 seconds and release it. Repeat this until it dispenses water. Let 3L of water run into the bucket. You have now vented the water pipes.
Tip 6: check the temperature
The dispenser is inside the fridge, so it stays cooled. If the temperature in the fridge is too hot or cold, the dispenser won't work properly. That's why you have to check the temperature of the fridge. You can find the recommended temperature in the manual.
Tip 7: fill the tank
Do you have a fridge that's not connected to the water supply? In that case, you have to fill the tank manually. Make sure there's enough water in it.
Tip 8: check the ice dispenser
Doesn't the ice dispenser work? Check if there are ice cubes stuck. Did you just turn on the fridge, or haven't you used the dispenser in a long time? Wait until the fridge reached the right temperature.
