4 tips if your Philips LatteGo won't froth milk
4 tips for your Philips milk system
We'll give you 4 tips, so you can make milk specialties again. We'll go through the following steps with you:
- Tip 1. Use the right milk.
- Tip 2. Use cold milk.
- Tip 3. Thoroughly clean the LatteGo.
- Tip 4. Buy a new separate milk frother.
Tip 1: use the right milk type
There are many milk types to choose from, but not all of them froth properly. The milk you use for your coffee plays an important role. That's why we recommend long-life whole milk. This milk contains more proteins compared to fresh milk, and those proteins are what provide thick foam. Not a fan of long-life milk? Fresh whole milk, skimmed milk, or lactose-free milk will do.
Tip 2: use cold milk
We recommend using milk from the fridge. The colder the milk before you froth it, the better. That's why you should store long-life milk in a cold place, even if the carton is still closed. The best way to froth milk is if it's cold. A higher temperature results in a bubbly milk foam. It's also important to use enough milk in the milk reservoir to prevent it from sucking it air.
Tip 3: clean the Philips LatteGo
You have to make sure your LatteGo system isn't dirty. That's why we recommend cleaning the milk reservoir after every use. It doesn't take much time. Simply disassemble the LatteGo milk frother and clean all the parts in the dishwasher or manually under the faucet.
Tip 4: buy a LatteGo system separately
If the tips above don't work, you have to replace your milk system. We recommend buying a new milk system if that's the case.
