How do you fix an AEG dryer error yourself?
AEG error C2 or E20
With error C2 or E20, there's a problem with the water drain.
- Check whether the drain hose is properly placed on your dryer and the drain.
- Check if there's a kink or a big loop in the hose and take it out.
AEG error C6
Error code C6 means you have a problem with the moisture sensor. This causes the dryer cycle to take longer than usual.
- Make sure the socket is earthed. You can recognize this by 2 metal pins in the socket.
- Isn't the socket earthed? Connect the dryer to a socket that does have 2 metal pins.
- If the socket is earthed, there's a problem with the moisture measurement.
- Check whether the lint trap and condenser are clean.
- If your dryer doesn't work yet, you need a technician.
AEG error C8
If error code C8 occurs, there's a problem with the temperature sensor. Make an appointment with a technician.
AEG error CD
A CD error code means the door doesn't close properly.
- Check if there's laundry caught between the door.
- Put your laundry in the drum properly.
- Push the door until you hear a click.
- Take the plug out of the socket for 30 seconds and restart the dryer cycle.
AEG error E40
The door doesn't close properly or the dryer is connected to the wrong group.
- Put any laundry that's stuck between the door back in the drum.
- Close the door until you hear it click.
- Unplug the dryer from the socket for 30 seconds and restart the dryer cycle.
- Do you have solar panels at home? Make sure you connect the dryer to another group.
AEG error E60
The dryer doesn't heat up properly. The lint trap and condenser may be dirty.
- Empty the lint trap and rinse it under the faucet.
- Dry the lint trap with a clean cloth.
- Clean the condenser.
- Finally, make sure there's enough ventilation in the room your dryer's in. Open a window or door, for example.
AEG error EH0 or EHO
If you see error code EH0 or EHO, the dryer doesn't receive power.
- Check whether the plug is properly inserted in the socket.
- Test if a different device works on this socket.
- A different product doesn't work either? There's something wrong with the electricity and not with the dryer.
AEG dryer doesn't dry properly
Isn't your laundry dry after the dryer cycle? The drying level might not be set right. Turn on the machine and set the dial to one of the cycles. Press the 'Dryness level' and 'Anti-wrinkle' buttons at the same time until the display changes. Press the start button until CO_ appears. Save the setting by pressing the 'Dryness level' and 'Anti-wrinkle' buttons simultaneously again. Doesn't this work? Check the manual of your dryer.
Error 'empty reservoir' appears
When the light for the condenser reservoir comes on, the reservoir is full. Remove the reservoir from the dryer and empty it in the sink. When you put the reservoir back and start the dryer cycle, the notification should disappear. Is your dryer connected to the water drain and do you still see this error? Check the manual to learn how you can manually turn off the light. Also make sure there's no loop in the drain hose. The drain also shouldn't be higher up than 1m.
