How do you rinse your Nespresso?
In some cases, it's necessary to rinse your Nespresso machine with water. This prevents the pipes in your Nespresso machine from becoming clogged and the coffee residue from starting to mold. We'll explain when and how to do this here.
Rinse in 4 steps
- Step 1: Empty your Nespresso machine so there's no capsule left in it.
Step 2: Fill the water tank until there's at least enough water for a large cup of coffee.
Step 3: Press the button for a large cup of coffee and wait for the water to run through.
Step 4: If there's still water left in the tank, empty it.
When should you rinse your Nespresso machine?
There are 3 times when you flush your machine, namely:
- If you know that you will not use the machine for 2 weeks or longer.
- After you have not used your Nespresso for 2 weeks.
- When machine is broken and you send it for repair.
