The most common errors of Zanussi washing machines

Your Zanussi washing machine suddenly indicates an error. You can tell by the error code on the display. Or maybe you notice that the drum remains full of water, or that there's no water entering the drum at all. We've listed the most common Zanussi error messages. In this article, you can read what they mean, how to solve them, and how to use our repair service.

Zanussi error Eb0 and Ebo

Zanussi error Eb0

If the washing machine displays the error code Eb0 or Ebo, then the appliance isn't getting enough power. This might be because the voltage of the power supply is too low. Check this by connecting the washing machine somewhere else. Check if the plug is in a grounded socket as well. Does the error message remain? Reset the appliance by leaving the plug out of the socket for at least 30 seconds.

Zanussi error E40

Zanussi error E40

An E40 error on a Zanussi washing machine points to a malfunctioning door. First, check if the door is properly closed. Make sure there's no laundry trapped between the washing machine and the door. If the washing machine is completely full, the problem might be that the drum is overloaded. Remove some clothes to be sure. Finally, check the child safety lock. The included manual explains how you can turn this off.

Zanussi error EFO, EFo, and EF3

Zanussi error EFO

Does the display say EFO, EFo, or EF3? Then there's internal leakage and water at the bottom of the drum. This is often caused by a piece of clothing or shoelace between the door on the cuff. Turn off the washing machine first and remove the plug from the socket. Detach the water hose and tilt the machine backwards slightly, so some of the water runs out. After this, you can reconnect everything and remove the stuck clothing items.

Zanussi error E10 and C1

Zanussi error E10

Does the display of your Zanussi washing machine show the error code E10 or C1? Then there's a problem with the water supply. That means your washing machine isn't getting any water or isn't getting enough water. First, check if the washing machine is properly connected to the water supply. It's possible that the drain hose is blocked or there's a kink in it. If that's the case, you can remove the kink. Sometimes it helps to turn the washing machine off and on again.

Zanussi error E20 and C2

Zanussi error E20

If the error code E20 or C2 appears, then the machine has a problem pumping the water. First, check if the drain hose isn't inserted too deep into the drain. The hose should be inserted no further than 10cm into the drain. If that isn't the case, check to see if the drain pump or the drain is blocked. These are both easy to clean.
