How do you solve battery problems with the Sony WF-1000XM5?
Solve battery problems
With these 3 steps, you can solve battery problems with the Sony WF-1000XM5.
Step 1: charge the charging case
Step 2: check the earbuds
Step 3: clean connectors
Step 1: charge the charging case
If you want to charge your earbuds, the charging case has to be sufficiently charged. Use the included USB-C charging cable to charge the charging case. If you put the earbuds in the case and the red light turns off right away or doesn't come on at all, the battery is empty.
Step 2: check the earbuds
When you put your earbuds in the charging case, they attach to a magnet. That doesn't necessarily mean that the earbuds are inserted properly and are getting charged. If your earbuds are empty and the charging case is full, make sure the earbuds are properly inserted into the case.
Step 3: clean the connector
There might be dirt stuck in the connectors that prevents charging. Grab a clean, soft, and dry cloth and wipe the connectors on the charging case. Never use a damp cloth.
