You need:

- 500ml container
How often should you replace the water filter?

You should replace the water filter every 2 months or whenever your coffee machine notifies you. When this will be depends on the hardness of your tap water and how many cups of coffee you make per day.
Step 1: prepare the water filter
- Remove the water filter from the packaging and turn the round dial on the water filter 2 months ahead.
- Hold the water filter under the faucet to fill it with water.
- Make sure the water streams out of the openings on the side for 1 minute.
- Remove the water tank from the machine and empty it.
- Fill the water tank with fresh water.
- Submerge the water filter in the water tank at an angle, until there are no more bubbles coming out of the water filter.
- Place the water filter in the round opening in the water tank and push it in place.
- Put the water tank back into the coffee machine.
Step 2: install the water filter
- Press the button 'menu/esc' and press the arrows until you see 'Install filter, deactivated'.
- Press 'ok' to confirm.
- The display asks 'Enable?'. Confirm this by pressing 'ok'.
- It now indicates 'Hot water'.
- Place a container of at least 500ml under the hot water spout.
- Press 'ok' to confirm this.
- The machine now starts rinsing. Once the machine is done, it returns to the home screen.
- Remove the container and empty it.
- The water filter is now activated and the machine is ready for use again.
