In the video, you can see which steps you have to go through to correctly prepare and place the AquaClean water filter in the Philips 4300 and 5400. We'll go through these steps with you:
1: replace the water filter if the machine asks for it. 2: prepare the water filter before you place it in the water tank. 3: fill the water tank with the water filter in it. 4: let the machine rinse itself with water. 5: the water filter has been activated after this and you don't have to replace it for the next 95L.

How often do you replace the AquaClean filter?
If you replace the water filter once every 3 months, you'll only have to descale the coffee machine once every 1.5 years. The water filters prevents limescale buildup in the pipes of the coffee machine. It's important to replace the water filter, because it increases the lifespan of the coffee machine.
Step 1: activate the water filter
1: tap the 'Clean' icon and use the up and down arrows to select 'AquaClean'. Then tap 'Ok'. 2: the display will ask 'Do you want to install the AquaClean filter?'. Confirm this with 'Ok'. 3: take the AquaClean water filter out of the packaging. 4: shade the water filter for 5 seconds, so all of the granules inside come loose. 5: hold the water filter under water in a container for 30 seconds and gently squeeze the water filter to release all of the air. 6: remote the water tank from the machine and empty it. 7: place the water filter in the water tank. Press the round underside firmly in place, so it's secure.
Step 2: install the water filter
1: fill the water tank with fresh water up to the 'max' marking and put the water tank back in the machine. 2: remove the LatteGo system if it's attached to the machine. 3: place a container below the hot water spout. 4: push the 'start/stop' button to start the process. 5: the coffee machine will discharge hot water from the hot water spout for 1 minute. 6: the water filter has now been activated.
