How often should you replace the water filter?

To guarantee a proper operation, you have to replace the water filter every 2 months. The De'Longhi water filter fits perfectly in the water tank of your machine.
Step 1: prepare the water filter
- Go to settings via the menu in the top left corner.
- Go to 'water filter' and press 'ok'. The coffee machine will now guide you through the installation of the water filter. After you complete each step, press 'continue' on the display.
- Remove the water filter from the packaging and turn the round dial on the water filter 2 months ahead.
- Hold the water filter upside down under the faucet until the water streams out of the openings sideways.
- Remove the water reservoir from the machine and fill it with water up to three quarters.
- Submerge the water filter in the water tank until the bubbles escape.
- Place the water filter in the round opening of the water tank and push it firmly in place.
- Put the water tank back in the machine.
Step 2: install the water filter
- Place a 500ml container under the hot water spout and press 'ok'.
- The machine automatically disperses water.
- The notification 'water circuit empty, press ok to start filling' now appears on the display. Confirm with 'ok'.
- The machine disperses water for a second time.
- Once the machine stops dispersing water, it's ready for use.
- The notification 'water filter installed' appears on the display. Confirm with 'ok'.
- Remove the container.
- The water filter is now successfully installed.
