Clean the milk system every day by taking apart all of the parts and rinsing them under the faucet with some dish soap. In addition, we recommend cleaning the milk system once a week with the De'Longhi EcoMultiClean. This milk cleaner thoroughly removes all milk residue.
Step 1: prepare the cleaning
- Remove the milk reservoir from the machine.
- Press the release buttons of the milk reservoir and remove the lid and the milk spout.
- Turn the connector left and remove it.
- Remove the milk spout and then the transparent hose from inside the spout. Remove the lid above the spout as well.
- Take the milk reservoir out of the thermal casing.
Step 2: start cleaning
- Carefully rinse all parts of the milk system with warm water and a milk cleaner. You can also put the parts in the dishwasher. Place them in the upper rack of the dishwasher, with the exception of the thermal casing.
- Make sure there's no milk residue left on the parts of the lid. Use the round brush to remove any residue.
- Rinse the holes with running water.
- Check if the spout and milk spout aren't blocked by milk residue. Clean these with the round brush as well.
- Use the milk cleaner once a week. Submerge all separate parts in a mixture of water and milk cleaner. Let them soak for a couple of minutes and rinse the parts afterwards.
Step 3: complete the rinsing
- Place the milk reservoir back in the thermal casing.
- Insert the transparent hose into the transparent milk reservoir. Insert it in the opening next to the connector first and then in the opening next to the spouts.
- Push the hose securely in place after you insert it and check if it's correctly inserted.
- Reassemble all parts of th elid.
- Place the lid back on the milk reservoir.
- Click the milk reservoir back into the machine.
- You've now finished cleaning the milk system.
