What do you need?

Manon is cooking a Christmas dinner with a steam oven. We'll tell you how to make this dessert in this article. To make the dessert, you need these ingredients:

  • 90ml egg yolk (that's the egg yolk of about 6 medium-sized eggs)
  • 50g white sugar
  • 250ml whipping cream
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • A few drop of vanilla aroma
  • Cane sugar to caramelize
  • Cantuccini biscuits or other biscuits you like
  • A burner
  • 4 ceramics

Step 1: mix the ingredients

Weigh all the ingredients and put them in a bowl. Mix the ingredients with a mixer or whisk. Don't do this for too long or too short. When everything is properly mixed, divide the mixture over the 4 ceramics.

Step 2: set the oven

Crème brûlée

Slide the ceramics into the oven. Do you have a Siemens steam oven? Choose the 4D hot air heating method and set the temperature to 90°C. Select the turbo fan mode with a different brand. Next, choose setting 1 of a Siemens steam oven for the steam supply. This mode is called low. For other steam ovens, choose the lightest steam setting. Don't you have a steam oven. Skip this. Bake the desert in about 20 to 22 minutes.

Step 3: caramelize the sugar

Burner for crème brûlée

Take the crème brûlée ceramics out of the oven and let them cool down. Sprinkle them with some cane sugar and caramelize the sugar with a gas burner. To make the desert more festive, garnish the ceramics with a biscuit.
