How do you get your JURA WE8 ready for use?
You have just become the lucky owner of the JURA WE8 and you'e eager to use it, of course. Before you make your first cup of coffee, it's important that you prepare the coffee machine for use. In this article with helpful video instructions, we'll explain how to do this step by step. From filling the bean hopper to adjusting the water hardness.
Get started with your JURA WE8
We're happy to explain how to get the JURA WE8 ready for use. We'll go through these steps with you:
- Fill the bean hopper.
- Connect the machine to power and turn on the coffee machine.
- Select the desired language.
- Set the water hardness.
- Determine whether you want to use the coffee maker with or without a water filter.
- The coffee machine is now ready for use.
You need:
- Empty container of at least 500ml
- Water
- Coffee beans
Step 1: connect the coffee machine
- Fill the bean hopper with coffee beans.
- Connect the power cord to the coffee maker and plug the power cord into the socket.
- Press the "On/Off" button and turn the machine on.
- Select a language at the bottom right and press the desired language.
- The display briefly shows 'Saved' to confirm the setting.
Step 2: adjust the water hardness
- To test the water hardness, use the test strip from the box.
- Hold the test strip under running water for 1 second.
- Wait for about 1 minute.
- After this, read the water hardness level via the discolored rings on the test strip.
- Then change the setting on the coffee machine to the correct water hardness.
- Press the '<' or '>' key to change the setting. Press the 'Save' key. The display briefly shows 'Saved'.
Step 3: set the water filter
- Place a container under the milk spout.
- Remove the water tank and rinse it with cold water.
- Flip open the cover in the water tank.
- Place the water filter in the water tank and fold the lid back.
- Fill the water tank with cold water and replace it.
- The coffee machine automatically recognizes it when the water filter is inserted.
- The machine then flushes the water out of the milk spout.
- Empty the drip tray and replace it.
- Place a container under the coffee spout and under the milk spout. The coffee machine indicates that the system is being filled and automatically flushes the system.
- Your JURA is now ready for use.
How often do you clean your JURA coffee machine?
By cleaning your coffee machine on time, you'll prevent blockages and defects. And the coffee taste will remain at its best. So treat your coffee machine hygienically and perform the following maintenance:
- Clean milk system: daily
- Rinse brew group: once every 1.5 months
- Replace water filter: every 3 months
- Descale: every 2 years (with a water filter)
