The Krups coffee machine automatically indicates when it needs to be descaled. If you also use a water filter, that's once every 4 months. If you don't use a water filter, you have to descale your Krups fully automatic machine once every 2 months. Make sure to use the Krups descaler for this. This descaling agent was made for your coffee machine.
Step 1: prepare the descaling
- Press the gearwheel when the descaling symbol turns on. Press the button with the nozzle to start the descaling program.
- Remove the drip tray from the machine and empty it. Then, put it back in.
- Take the water tank out of the coffee machine and take the water filter out of the water tank.
- Refill the water tank up to the 'calc' mark.
- Por the Krups descaling agent into the water tank.
- Place the water tank back into the machine.
- Place a container of at least 600ml under the coffee outlet and steam wand.
Step 2: descale the machine
- Press the button with the nozzle.
- The machine now starts the descaling program. This takes about 8 minutes.
- The coffee machine makes a sound when it's done descaling.
- Empty the container and put it back.
- Take the water tank out of the machine, rinse it thoroughly, and refill it with tap water.
- Place the water tank back into the coffee machine.
Step 3: rinse the machine
- Press the button with the nozzle to rinse the machine with water.
- Rinsing takes about 6 minutes. The coffee machine is done rinsing if you hear an audio signal every 10 seconds.
- Remove the container, empty it, and place it under the coffee outlet and steam wand again.
- Take the water tank out of the machine and put the water filter back in.
- Put the water tank back into the machine.
- Rinse the coffee machine again and press the button with the nozzle.
- The descaling symbol will disappear.
- Fill the water tank with water and put it back into the machine.
- You've successfully descaled your Krups fully automatic coffee machine.
