Get started with cleaning the milk system
In this video, we'll explain step by step how to thoroughly clean the milk system of your JURA S8. We'll go through the following steps:
Step 1. Clean the milk system. Step 2. Rinse the milk system.
You need:
- JURA Milk System Cleaner (15ml per cleaning session)
- Pitcher or cup (500ml capacity)
- Container (500ml capacity)
How often should you clean?
You clean the milk system daily, to prevent milk residue from caking on and causing blockages. You also keep the system hygienic this way. After you make a milk specialty, the coffee machine briefly rinses the pipes with water. That happens automatically. Aren't you going to use the coffee machine for the next couple of hours? Clean the milk system thoroughly with a cleaning agent.
Step 1: clean the milk system
- On the display, select 'Clean the milk system'.
- Confirm by tapping the red icon that appears on the screen.
- Press 'Start'.
- Pour 15ml JURA Milk System Cleaner into the pitcher.
- Add 250ml water.
- Place a container below the milk foam nozzle.
- Put the milk tube in the pitcher with water.
- Press 'Next'.
- The milk system is being cleaned.
- A notification will appear on the display when you have to fill the container with water again.
Step 2: rinse the milk system
- Empty the container and the pitcher with the cleaning agent.
- Refill the pitcher with 250ml water and put the milk tube in the pitcher again.
- Place the container back.
- Press 'Next'.
- The milk system is being rinsed.
- A notification will appear on the display when it's done rinsing.
- Reattach the milk tube to the milk system.
- The coffee machine is ready for use.
