After making about 180 cups of coffee, the coffee machine will notify you that its time to clean the brew group. This will be about once every month. That's why you should always make sure you clean the coffee machine when it asks you to. We recommend using the JURA cleaning tablets. These are made for the material of the brew group, so you can be sure that you don't damage it.
Step 1: prepare for cleaning the brew group
- You'll see an icon appear at the top of the display to clean the brew group. Press the button on the bottom left, next to 'P'.
- Then, go to the 'Maintenance status' and press 'Clean'.
- The cleaning process takes about 20 minutes. Press 'Start'.
- The display shows a notification that you can only use the original JURA maintenance products. Press 'Next'.
- Take the drip tray and coffee grounds container out of the coffee machine and empty these parts. After that, put them back in the coffee machine.
- Place a container under the coffee outlet. Then, press 'Next'.
- The coffee machine will now briefly rinse.
Step 2: place the tablet and rinse the machine
- Throw a cleaning tablet into the ground coffee compartment.
- Press 'Next' for the coffee machine to start cleaning.
- After a couple of minutes, you'll see on the display that you have to empty the coffee grounds container and drip tray.
- Take the container, drip tray, and coffee grounds container out of the coffee machine and empty them in the sink.
- Put the drip tray and coffee grounds container back in.
- You've successfully finished cleaning the brew group.
