How do you build in a built-in washing machine?
Build in washing machine in 4 steps
To build your built-in washing machine into your cabinets, follow the steps below:
- Step 1. connect the washing machine
- Step 2. attach the hinges to the door
- Step 3. mount the door to the washing machine
- Step 4. mount the magnet
Step 1: connect the washing machine
The first phase of building in your washing machine is connecting the appliance. When the washing machine is close to the right spot, first remove the transit bolts. Then connect the supply hose and drain hose and plug it into the right socket. At the end, make sure the appliance is level and slide it into the niche. In the article below, you can read how to connect your washing machine.
Step 2: attach the hinges to the door
Now that the washing machine is in the right spot, you can start mounting the door. You can use the included hinges and screws of your built-in washing machine for this. First make sure whether the door panel has predrilled holes at the right height. Then place the door part of the hinge in the door panel. Screw the hinge on tight so the door won't slant. You can read how to attach the hinges of your washing machine in the manual.
Step 3: mount the door to the washer dryer combination
When the hinges are on the door panel, mount the door to your built-in washing machine. A built-in washing machine always has built-in hinge supports or hinge holes. That way, you can always easily click or screw on the hinge without having to drill holes into your appliance. You can read how to attach the hinges to your washing machine in the manual. When the door is on and level with the other cabinets, it's time for the last step.
Step 4: mount the magnet
Lastly, mount the included magnet to the door and the washing machine. This magnet prevents the door panel from vibrating open while washing. If the magnets aren't on the appliance by default, you'll have to mount them at the same height opposite to the hinges first. Then measure how high up on the washing machine the magnet is and mount the other half of the magnet to the door panel at the same height. After that, you're done and have neatly built-in your washing machine.
