First impression of the ETNA VW839N
What stands out right away is the stainless steel control panel of the dishwasher. I control this with touch control. This means that the machine responds smoothly to my touch. Via the display, I can choose from 8 cycles for different kinds of dishes, such as glasses and pans. For cutting borads and baby bottles, I choose the hygiene program. With this, the temperature is extra high, so bacteria disappear. That's useful if you cut raw fish, for example.
A lot of space for different kinds of dishes
The dishwasher has space for 14 place settings and is also suitable for when I prepare multiple courses on a Friday night. I place pastry plates, tea glasses, and soup bowls in the basket on top. At the bottom of the dishwasher, I have space for plates, pans, and large oven dishes. Thanks to the flexible layout, as much as possible fits. I can adjust the upper rack in height, so there's more space at the bottom for a large soup pan. Thanks to the intensive zone with double spraying arm, I rinse it thoroughly.
Very silent thanks to night cycle: 37dB
What stand out to me is that the dishwasher is very silent. I'm not bothered by noise. When I watch a series in the evening, I turn on the night program. With maximum 37dB, I barely hear the dishwasher cycle. When I work from home on the kitchen table, I also use the night cycle. That useful when I have a lot of meetings. The sound doesn't stand out in the background. A disadvantage is that the night cycle takes more than 5 hours. Fortunately, this isn't a problem at night.
Saves energy with a C energy label
The dishwasher is with a C energy label relatively energy-efficient in use. This way, I save on my energy bill. To wash extra energy-efficiently, I choose the eco cycle. This takes 3 hours and 20 minutes. I need to test my patience a bit more, but I save a lot of energy. Usually, I turn on this cycle when I go to work in the morning or when I sleep at night. I have all the time of the world then.
Extra dry dishes thanks to FanDry
The FanDry fan in the door exhausts the humid air, so my dishes dry better. This way, condense doesn't get to the clean dishes and I'm not bothered by drops on my plastic containers. This way, I save time and energy. At the end of the dishwasher cycle, the door automatically opens slightly. If I want, I can turn off this option. I'd rather keep it turned on, because the eco cycle is 20 minutes faster this way.
Conclusion
If you're looking for a silent and spacious dishwasher, this model is a good choice for you. Even when I work from home or have visitors, I can turn on a cycle. With a noise level of maximum 37dB, I barely hear the dishwasher. I have enough space for all my dishes and rinse them energy-efficiently. The night cycle takes a long time with 5 hours, but this is no problem at night. In addition, my plastic food storage containers dry well thanks to the FanDry fan.
