- The head calibration software that measures the position of your head only works on the computer.
The first impression of the JBL Quantum 910 Wireless
The headset comes with many accessories. I recognized the familiar accessories like the 3.5mm cable and the windshield foam for the microphone right away. The USB dongle is different from the other JBL headsets, because this one has a USB-C port and a USB-A attachment. This is useful, because you can easily connect the headset to your Nintendo Switch, for example. The last accessory I find is the calibration microphone. With this, you can set the headset precisely to your own ear.
Set up wirelessly
The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless is the successor to the JBL Quantum One. The new headset is wireless, while the predecessor was wired. This is a nice improvement, because there won't be any cables in the way. I can easily connect the headset with the USB dongle and can get started right away. The JBL Quantum 910 is made of is made of sturdier materials, such as leather and hard plastic. That's why this headset is a bit heavier than its predecessors.
Comfortable gaming
When I put on the headset, I noticed the difference in comfort right away. The padding on the headband and the ear cups are very soft. Compared to the other JBL headsets, the leather is softer and more sturdy. I've tested this headset for hours and only the weight was uncomfortable. My ears and head didn't hurt at all, but I did start to notice the weight of the headset.
Sound from all sides
The first gaming headsets from JBL all provided good sound and with the Quantum 910, that's no different. The sound comes from all sides during a game of Fortnite or Call of Duty. The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless also has head tracking, so the sound turns with you when you look away from the screen. This also works on a console, which wasn't the case with the JBL Quantum One. Noise canceling is also back with this headset and it still filters exterior sounds well. With the calibration microphone, you can even measure the inside of your ear, so the headset fits perfectly with your ear. This is only possible on the PC, not on consoles.
JBL Quantum 910 Wireless
The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless is JBL's most complete headset. There have been enhancements after the JBL Quantum One. The headset is finally wireless and head tracking for the console is also finally available. The headset is sturdy and is very comfortable, but is heavy. The sound of the JBL Quantum 910 Wireless is very good thanks to the surround sound and head tracking is a nice extra feature.
