Developer Naughty Dog has released The Last of Us Part 1 for the PlayStation 5 on 2 September 2022. This game contains the original story and the expansion Left Behind. You can get the complete The Last of Us Part 1 experience now.

The story of The Last of Us is pretty dark. You start in the year 2033, 20 years after a very dangerous fungus took over the world. This fungus affects the brain of everybody who touches it. People change into horrifying monsters named Clickers. You'll play as Joel and you have to take the teenage Ellie to Salt Lake City to stop the plague. That's because Ellie is immune and she might just be the cure. They have to travel through the United States first, though. There's danger around every corner.

The original The Last of Us is already 9 years old. Graphically speaking, the new PS5 version of the game looks much nicer. The facial animations and the details have improved a lot. Developer Naughty Dog indicated that they were finally able to use certain motion-capture techniques for this remake. It feels and looks more realistic than the original, thanks to the power of the PlayStation 5.

The gameplay of The Last of Us Part 1 has changed a lot. The game no benefits from the advantages of the Dual Sense controller. This way, you can feel the tension of a bow in the shoulder buttons. You can also control Joel more smoothly and it all feels a lot more realistic. Because your enemies are stronger and smarter than ever, so you have to be more careful than 9 years ago.
