Comparison of the Polar Grit X Pro to the Polar Grit X
Design
Grit X Pro: sapphire glass
The main difference between the Grit X Pro and Grit X in terms of the design, is the type of glass on the display. The Grit X Pro has sapphire glass. This is the strongest type of glass for watches. It's scratch-resistant, so it lasts for a long time. The Pro also has more details on the ring around the screen, like compass information. With 79g, the Pro is a lot heavier than the regular Grit X.
Grit X: Gorilla Glass
The Polar Grit X has a layer of Gorilla Glass on the screen. This type of glass is slightly less scratch-resistant and hard than sapphire glass. The stainless steel watch case is durable and strong, just like with the Grit X Pro. At 64g, the Grit X is much lighter than its big brother. This means it won't feel as heavy on your wrist.
Sports performance and recovery
Grit X Pro: performance, recovery tests, Training Load Pro
The performance and recovery tests are new on the Grit X Pro. This gives you insight in your running and cycling performance. That way, you'll know where there's still room for you to improve. The recovery test helps you to recover faster and better. Thanks to this, you'll be able to start your next training sooner again
Grit X: no tests, but Training Load Pro
Just the performance test for running is available, not the one for cycling. You also don't have the recovery test on the Grit X, but you can use the Training Pro Load function. With this function, you can calculate the impact of your training sessions on your body. You'll get these insights both for cardio and strength training. With this function, you can prevent injuries more easily and continue to train at a healthy pace.
